ABOUT ME
Ever since I was young I loved to create. My grandfather was an auto mechanic and taught me to weld, solder and build creative solutions to complex problems. At home I loved creating things out of LEGO and taking things apart to see how they work. It was only fitting that I chose to major in Mechanical Engineering when I started at Carnegie Mellon.
After taking a college course in Rapid Prototyping, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: design and create products. I took courses in engineering design, product development, design for manufacturing and the environment, and led seminars on CAD & FEA.
After receiving my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering, I spent over 4 years at Microsoft in the New Product Introduction organization, helping to launch several first-generation products in many different form factors. Having seen the product design process from conception through realization, I continued on to Human Incorporated where I helped to lead the mechanical design of the next-generation wireless headphones. From there I joined Pensar Development and their stellar engineering team, serving clients in many industries including consumer electronics and outdoor equipment. Currently I am helping to bring wireless power technology to life at Ossia, Inc.
See how my career has lined up with a typical product development timeline here.
I've included pictures of some of my favorite projects from my time at Carnegie Mellon and at home, please take a look around!
